Andrew Penniket

Andrew Penniket is an award-winning  underwater cameraman and documentary maker whose career has spanned four decades. Since starting with TVNZ’s Natural History Unit in Dunedin, his work has featured in acclaimed international productions for many broadcasters, including BBC, National Geographic, NHNZ and Discovery Channel. Trained as a biologist, Andrew has combined extensive knowledge of marine life with an artist’s eye, developing a reputation for capturing intimate, behaviour-driven sequences that reveal both the beauty and mystery of underwater life, from the midnight rambles of lobsters to the cooperative hunting of orca tribes. His images and films have been widely used to support marine protected areas, and he is a staunch advocate for increased conservation in the sea.

 Pedro Pimentel

Pedro Pimentel is an award-winning cinematographer, photographer and documentary maker with over two decades of experience taking cameras into some of the world's most demanding environments. Trained as a mechanical engineer at the University of Coimbra, Pedro brings a rare combination of technical precision and artistic vision to his work — whether diving in the Red Sea, climbing 6,000-metre peaks in South America, or capturing BASE jumpers and solo climbers hundreds of metres above the ground. His work has been featured by National Geographic, The Guardian and The Daily Mail, and for international clients including The North Face, RAB and FILA. As Director of Photography, Pedro has contributed to acclaimed productions including the reality survival series Race to Survive and award-winning documentaries such as Te Ara: The Path. Based in Wanaka and a proud father of two boys, Pedro runs his own production company, Katalyst Media (www.katalystmedia.co.nz), working across cinematography, directing and producing. At the heart of his work is a deep passion for the human experience and an unshakeable belief in the power of storytelling to change the world for the better.

Peter Thompson

Peter Thompson has built a  lifelong career in film and television camera work, becoming a full-time aerial cinematographer in 1999 and a full-time owner-operator of gyro-stabilised aerial camera systems in 2005.

With over 14,000 hours of helicopter aerial filming, Peter has worked in more than 70 countries worldwide, across virtually every environment a production can encounter.
